Lot 38 As a member of the Beatles, Paul McCartney, together with John Lennon, wrote songs that influenced an entire generation. Hofner became famous through its association with the Beatles. Paul played two left-handed model 500/1 hollow body electric bass guitars through most his Beatles' career and one can be seen in their iconic rooftop performance at Abbey Road Studios in 1969.
