As a member of the Beatles, Paul McCartney, together with John Lennon, wrote songs that influenced an entire generation. Hofner became famous through its association with the Beatles. Paul played two left-handed model 500/1 hollow body electric bass guitars through most his Beatles' career and one can be seen in their iconic rooftop performance at Abbey Road Studios in 1969. He's used Hofners extensively in his solo career as well.
